The Whole Shebang is probably the best value Zinfandel you are likely to find in California, with the fruit coming from their younger vines of old vineyard parcels, such as the famed Bedrock Vineyard, that aren’t quite ready to go into their single vineyard cuvées. The wine is a multi vintage blend, with predominantly Zinfandel, with Carignan, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvedre and other varieties from the mainly field blended vineyards that owner and winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW works with. Bramble and black berry fruits combine with sweet spice, black pepper and chocolate notes. The core is indulgently juicy and there is an abundance of freshness in this wine that showcases the best that Zinfandel has to offer.
