While Sherwyn Veldhuizen and Marcel Giesen continue to nurture their now highly sought after Bell Hill vineyard, a recent acquisition has made them proud owners of one of New Zealand’s most iconic vineyards: Clayvin in Marlborough. Infant within their tenure but utilising vines planted in the early 1990s, this Fuder-aged Burgundy lookalike is about as serious as New Zealand Chardonnay gets. Emphatic fruit quality on the palate with an exceptionally skilled integration of oak. One to follow from the start.
