2005 Chardonnay Clayvin Vineyard, Fromm Winery/Lay & Wheeler, Marlborough
Pale lemon yellow in appearance. The nose is a delightful combination of tropical and citrus fruits that meld with hints of vanilla and subtle oak. These scents are confirmed on the palate with nectarine and peachy notes and a twist of lemon dominating initially. Creamy flavours develop on the mid-palate along with suggestions of buttered toast. A lift of acidity adds zest and life, which continues to a long and impressive finish.
