The single block wines are not made in every vintage at Yabby Lake, and Block 2 has only been made it as a single block wine once of twice in their history, such is a stringest selection process. The result here is an intense, transparent Pinot Noir with pure dark berry fruit. It's quite closed at this early stage, with some brooding bramble aromatics, a plenty of fine Pinot tannins. There are well integrated aromas of sweet baking spices, and overall a darker, more savoury expression than the Single Vineyard bottling.
