The Gladysdale sub-region sits at the south of the Yarra Valley and is unique in receiving more of the warm air that travels down the valley compared with other Yarra sub-regions. There's increased air moisture content due to the surrounding forests and higher solar radiation. As a result there's some riper fruit character here, with ripe citrus and some stone fruit like apricot and yellow peach. On the palate it has this, but also some tighter, greener fruit, as well as juicy acidity and subtle stony notes. The ripe fruit keeps this broad on the palate and rich towards the finish.
