2013 Mount Pleasant, Lovedale Semillon, Hunter Valley
Sourced from a parcel of vines planted in 1946 by the legendary Maurice O’Shea, the Lovedale Semillon is one of the Hunter Valley’s defining wines. More than a decade after the harvest, the 2013 iteration demonstrates why aged Hunter Valley Semillon can be among the wine world’s most special experiences. Expressive Amalfi lemon, sour green plum and concentrated lemongrass are layered with delicate floral overtones. The waxy, toasted, and textured mid-palate has gorgeous acidity providing drive and cut, and the finish seems to go on for days.
