2011 Bindi Block 5 Pinot Noir, Michael Dhillon, Macedon Ranges, Victoria
Taken from just half a hectare in the area of vineyard that is rich in quartz, this is quite a dark and brooding wine on the nose, with black berry fruits and hints of spice. The palate is silky textured, layered and showing deliciously pure hedgerow fruit characters. Tannins are ripe and finely expressed, though dense and providing a firm structure, balanced by the vibrant acidity associated with the Bindi wines.
