2008 The Armagh Shiraz, Jim Barry, Clare Valley

2008 The Armagh Shiraz, Jim Barry, Clare Valley

Highly attractive and enticing on the nose, with notes of dark berries and vanilla spice.
The palate is rich, layered and dense, with plenty of texture and power, yet not over-extracted and with a freshness that prevents any feeling of heaviness. Plush dark berry fruit and soft vanilla notes are to the fore, yet notes of truffle and savoury spice come through on the finish. This is considered one of the great wines of Australia for a good reason.
