2018 Chardonnay vigna Obelunec, Kmetija Hedele, Slovenia

Hedele was a project started in 2007 by 3 viticulturalists and winemakers who were passionate about the quality of the terroir of the Vipava Valley, Slovenia. Obelunec is a single vineyard in the village of Goče with the vines planted at 350-400 metres altitude, on a complex soil dominated by limestone and marl. This is a delicious Chardonnay that displays ripe stone fruit and peach aromas combined with ginger spice and white blossom florals. The texture is creamy with subtle honey notes, combined with a refreshing acidity and saltiness on the finish.
