The blend is 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and 48% Merlot. It has some of the elegance associated with its elder cousin Sassicaia. There is pretty red bright fruit on the nose. The palate has lovely structure from the Cabernet, well integrated tannins and a fresh finish, with a slight saline touch. The Merlot brings a generosity to the mouthfeel but with grace and a playful character. Its well balanced and more restrained than some warmer years. Its very appealing to drink now.
