A white that is made up of 100% Catarratto, with the oldest vines around 70 years old and planted in an amphitheatre in the Arcurìa Contrada. This 20 hectare vineyard (Catarratto making up 1 hectare) has a diverse range of volcanic soil types, and benefits from cool and dry winds. Fleshy peach and honey blossom notes are supported by hints of more exotic pineapple and dried mango notes. There is a pithiness and citrus acidity on the palate as well as a saltiness that continues for some time on the finish.
