2020 Flaccianello della Pieve, Fontodi, Tuscany
Flaccianello is one of Italy's most sought after wines, with the fruit coming from Fontodi's best vineyard sites. The wine spends 18 months in barrel, of which 40% is new, which gives the wine attractive liquorice, coffee and spice notes. The 2020 vintage is vibrant and concentrated with black cherry, wild berries and hints of bergamot. The wine's tannins are fine grained and sweet, with a refreshing acidity and fantastic balance.
