The 2020 Brunello from Cupano is very classy and vibrant. On the nose, there is a subtle spiced note of sandalwood and dried sage. There is a verticality and lift to the wine - it never feels heavy on the palate. The aromas of violets and black tea leaves mingle with dark cherry fruit with a fine web of tannins clothing the fruit. The finish is very long, with excellent definition.
