The 2019 Fonte Canale is a revelation – it’s easily the finest Trebbiano d’Abruzzo we’ve tried. It’s sourced from 80-90 year old vines planted on limestone soils, uses only free run juice, and is fermented with natural yeasts in stainless steel tanks. This is pure, precise, and citrusy with a nutty and expansive texture and a finish that seems to go on for days. It’s a virtuosic performance from winemaker Cristiana Tiberio, worthy of Paganini himself. Brava!
