The 2016 Chianti Classico from Querciabella is spectacular. Notes of orange peel and roses on the nose, with crunchy cherries and a hint of spice. On the palate there are wild strawberries and mulberries, and such refined tannins and freshness. Incredibly long, focussed and balanced: this punches well above its weight.
