2015 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata, Rocche Costamagna, Piedmont

Beautiful herbal lift on the nose, very restrained and mineral, but with crunchy red fruit and wild fennel. There is a nice subtlety to the tannins, but such good length and wonderful silkiness and finesse. Expressive and long and attractive, and very complex. Wild flowers, almost alpine but also nice spice here, and a hint of mint and balsamic. Spectacular.
