Perfumed and elegant, blood orange, sea spray and flowers. Amazing balance of fruit and minerality. So long, fine and finessed, with a touch of peach on the finish. This is a wonderful Sangiovese, so elegant and refined with amazing length. Bravo.

Tasting notes

The 2014 Brunello di Montalcino shows cedar and herbal-infused bright cherry, with savory spice, mint, licorice, lifting white smoke and dried florals. On the palate, soft textures give way to fresh red fruits, minerals and inner florals, yet I crave more energy and depth. The finish is medium in length, with hints of pretty woodland berries, spices and inner red florals. The 2014 Brunello is fresh, a bit simple, but very easy to like.
