The 2014 vintage had a tough start and a stellar finish, with perfect weather at harvest. This, coupled with severe selection in the vineyard, makes for a tiny but super vintage for Il Poggione here. There's more freshness in the wine, though not without its characteristic ripeness and red fruit. Absolutely delicious.
