2013 Solaia, Antinori, IGT Tuscany

2013 Solaia, Antinori, IGT Tuscany

The team at Solaia needed to extract less from the grapes in 2013, thanks to their abundant purity, elegance and intensity. And the result is an awesome Solaia. Ripe, with expressive perfume and density on the nose, the palate is fine if still an infant, with excellent balance between its acidity and the intensity of pure fruit flavours. There’s a seasoning of expensive oak spice, and a very, very long finish. A triumph.

Tasting notes

Wow. This is a stylish young red with currant, light herb, spice and bark aromas and flavours. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a fresh finish.
