2010 Tignanello, Antinori, IGT Tuscany

Prettily perfumed on the nose, with dark, crunchy fruit and notes of white pepper and a touch of jasmine. The palate shows exceptionally fine and silky tannins, enswathing intense and attractive sweet, black hedgerow fruit and gentle, creamy oak. The finish is long, almost endless, with a clean, mineral character of rain-soaked pebbles and a subtle hint of woodsmoke. Attractive, serious and utterly delicious, this is a delight in this vintage.
