2010 Tenuta dei Pianali Coronato, Marchesi Lodovico Antinori, Bolgheri

“The 2010 Coronato is laced with hints of spice, tobacco, mocha, plum, black cherry and scorched earth, all supported by firm tannins. The showiness typical of Maremma is tempered by the cool vintage, resulting in a striking wine that impresses for its contrasts and balance. This is one of the better vintages of the Coronato I can remember tasting.”
93 Points, Antonio Galloni

Antinori

The Antinori have been involved in the Tuscan wine trade for an impressive 26 generations. In 1970, scion Piero first made a wine that was ineligible for the official Chianti classification from the single vineyard, Tignanello. While it was not the first Super Tuscan, Tignanello played a huge role in shaking up the Italian wine scene. Its success was quickly followed by the creation of Solaia, which has quickly become one of Italy’s most sought-after wines.
