From the vineyards right beside the family house in the very heart of Monforte, according to Giovanni the soil has more of a Serralunga feel. Whilst quite reticent initially, air brings lots of warm, exotic spices and tar. The palate is dense, compact and chewy with characteristic freshness and minerality, whilst the finish is detailed, and includes rose petals and crushed mint.
