The palate is almost-heady, with rich, ripe opulent fruit characters and mouthcoating tannins, wrapped in layers of minerals, spice and sweet new oak. Yet, despite this luxuriant nature, this still shows tremendous balance, with a vein of acidity cutting through and lending freshness to the finish.
