The Albesani vineyard is younger than Ovello, but seems to have even greater potential. It produces wines with more spice and darker fruit character and firmer tannins. The 2009 is a rich, dense wine with notes of macerated cherries and violets. Needs some time to fully knit but will undoubtedly be great.
