The star-turn at Busso is their Gallina, where new French oak has been reduced to 50% from this vintage and only 1,500 bottles were produced. The vines here struggle in poor soil and Piero does a big green harvest, resulting in grapes with huge concentration. Very complex, with notes of dried herbs, wild strawberry, fig and toasty oak. This is a serious and multi-dimensional wine.
