A single vineyard bottling from vines situated immediately outside the recently constructed winery building. The vines are trained in such a way that allows a two stage harvest, with some fruit picked early to lend freshness and vibrancy and the other half picked later to yield structure and richness. A step up from the excellent normale, there is a greater concentration of ripe black cherries here, coupled with notes of tea leaves and dried roses. The palate is packed with ripe plums, sweet spice and a fresh citric twist, and framed by sturdy tannins. The finish is long and mouth-filling.
