2008 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Mulinvecchio, Contucci, Tuscany

A single vineyard bottling from a one hectare plot within the Contucci-owned vineyards, where once stood a medieval mill (from which the name is derived). Elegantly scented with dark berry fruit characters unravelling with time in the glass. The palate shows soft, rounded tannins, which balance an opulent palate of violet flowers and morello cherries, giving this a velvety, layered texture and a fresh feminine style.
