The palate, however, has a freshness and lightness of touch which discreetly clothes its significant weight and structural density. A very open and giving style, with appealing dusky fruit, softly rounded tannins and a brightening acidity. Elegantly balanced, this is quite-simply a lovely wine, showing immense purity, poise and immediate appeal, while concealing a structure that will give this a long future.
