Allesandro Locatelli makes some of the most fabulously expressive, elegant and harmonious Barolo in a traditional style. For his Barbera however he embraces modernity, ageing the wine in French oak barriques. These give it a creamy, voluptuous appeal on the nose and the front palate. The mid palate shows charm and breadth, with intense brambly flavours, while the finish is fresh, vibrant and long. Displays all the class and pleasurable drinkability one has come to expect of the wines of this fine and historic estate.
