2021 Palo Blanco, Envínate, Tenerife
Palo Blanco is the name of the viticultural zone in the village of Los Realejos, an area that is famed for producing high quality Listán Blanco (also known as Palomino). Envínate source their grapes from 5 different plots with the highest vineyards at 850 metres. The vines are over 100 years old and are trained to an old system where the cordons are plaited, a truly unique method. The wine displays a saline core, thanks to the basalt and black sand soils and the acidity is crisp and energetic. Lemon citrus and grapefruit pith combine with wet stone, this wine has concentration as well as a linear profile.
