Benje Tinto grapes come from an impressive altitude of 1000 metres in Santiago del Tiede in Ycoden-Daute-Isora with notable Atlantic and volcanic influence. The majority is Listán Prieto (also known as País) and a small amount of Tintilla and the vines are completely untrained which no doubt has contributed to this wine’s wild character. Expect smoky notes with crushed rocks, black pepper spice and bramble fruits. The crispness and lively acidity drives the backbone of this wine along with the wine’s grippy tannins.
