This year a blend of 97% Tinto Fino and 3% Merlot, the 2020 Valbuena 5° has a more ethereal quality that grows in the glass. There is no sense of excess here, with finely etched tannins clothed in red and dark cherry fruit. A delicate lift of spice adds complexity here with a fluidity and energy running through the palate.
