The flagship wine of CVNE, the Imperial 2019 shows all the balance and harmony of this classical, top-tier vintage. Aged for 24 months in 80% French oak and 20% American oak the wine opens with delicate sweet spice, dried herbs and bright red berry fruit on the nose. There is complexity of tobacco leaf, a hint of truffle and dried rose petal too. The palate shows fine, chalky tannin with brightness and excellent defintion while the finish is long and poised, showing excellent harmony.
