This is the third release of Viña Arana and marks a truly incredible vintage that saw Rioja Alta produce all three of its Gran Reservas. It comes from 40 year old vineyards and includes 5% of Graciano alongside Tempranillo, which gives extra freshness and aromatic intensity to the wine. It has all the classic elements of a great Rioja Alta wine; perfume, rich coconut aromas from American oak, fine tannins, and a clear capacity to age beautifully.
