The 2010 from renowned Castillo Ygay is likely to become one of the greats. 85% Tempranillo with 15% Mazuelo (Carignan), this is an elegant and expressive Gran Reserva. Soft red fruits reach out from the glass and sweet spices follow. It's balanced and complex, with silky tannins and lingering flavours of black tea and cherry. It will be a pleasure to taste its development over the coming decades.
