2005 Rioja Crianza, Viña Cerrada
Tempranillo, the classic Rioja grape, with a touch of Garnacha and Mazuelo completes the blend of Viña Cerrada's Rioja Crianza. With at least 12 months ageing in American oak barrels, followed by further development in bottle, this delicious wine shows all the finesse of fine Rioja. Aromas of vanilla and spice are immediately evident on the nose and the palate is broad, with rich red berry fruit characters, as well as a hint of savoury spice and toasted oak. Full bodied, spicy fruit flavours, supple tannins and a very long finish make this an unmissable wine.Suited to a wide range of food styles particularly roasted or barbecued red meats, chargrilled vegetables and mature cheeses.
