2022 Riesling Ried Achleiten, Auslese, Prager, Wachau

A unicorn wine from this stand out estate. Prager rarely makes sweet wines but the 2022 warranted such a wine. Coming from 100% non-botrytised grapes from various plots within the Achleiten vineyard, the grapes were harvested over several tries/passes. The residual sugar is relatively low at 35 grams. Honey and beeswax combine with orange peel, clove and ginger spice. The acidity helps achieve the tension and freshness on the finish.
