Leitz makes some brilliant archetypal dry Grosses Gewächs, and the slate and quartzite soil of Roseneck produces such a wine, albeit in a very mineral style. It is delicate fruit, and a certain leanness, that defines the Roseneck style, whilst the fantastic juice quality on the palate combined with nicely integrated freshness gives a long, intense finish.
