This Riesling has a greater wealth of fruit than the Wehlener Sonnenhur spätlese, however the harmony here is magical.Racy , with stunning purity, the scents and flavours combine yellow stone fruits with hints of citrus. A twist of grapefruit adds further interest and breadth too. The palate reveals sweetness, but such is the zip and clean cut purity that there is not the merest suggestion of a cloying nature. Splendid auslese with an extremely long finish.
