2011 Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese, H Dönnhoff, Nahe

2011 Oberhäuser Brücke Riesling Spätlese, H Dönnhoff, Nahe

The Brücke is the smallest vineyard site in the Nahe, under the sole ownership of Dönnhoff. It lies quite close to the river, making it ideal for sweeter styles of Riesling that benefit from a level of botrytis.
Subtle on the nose with bright citrus and wet stone, leading into an expressively elegant palate. Racy, mouthwatering acidity counterbalances the sweetness here, with a steely minerality giving backbone to ripe, rounded citrus characters and a delicate white florality. Pure and refreshing. A real delight.
