This is the first blended Classic Cuvée they’ve produced, based on the long, dry, warm 2016 vintage. It’s a blend of 57% Pinot Noir, 22% Chardonnay, and 21% Pinot Meunier (marking it out immediately among English bubblies), and the wine has undergone 3 years aging on the lees following malolactic fermentation. This ensures that there's a richness and complexity here that’s present in only the best English fizz I’ve tried, alongside the focus and precision that marks it out at recognisably English.
