2017 Les Cognaux, Ruppert-Leroy
Emmanuel and Bénédicte Leroy run a small but exceptionally high quality 4 hectare domaine in the Aube. Since their first vintage in 2010 they have excelled, and their wines are now regular name-checks on the best wine lists. Vines were inherited from Bénédicte's father, and are now all farmed biodynamically. The wine comes from a small high-altitude parcel. Of all their cuvées it is this one that demands the longest ageing to fully express itself.
