2010 La Vigne aux Gamins Blanc de Blancs, Thiénot

The top wine from dynamic Champagne house Thiénot, founded by Alain Thiénot in 1985. Only 3,300 bottles are produced and 2010 is the first year they have not let the base wines go through malolactic fermentation, lending the final Champagne with added tension and brisk acidity. It's 100% Chardonnay, and full of crisp lemon and green apple fruit, with lots of mineral notes and fine jasmine aromas. Long, fine and elegant.
