Rarity alone is no reason to purchase a wine; to labour the point on the scarcity of Vieilles Vignes Françaises is to belittle the ethereal nature of this tasting experience. Made from ungrafted root stocks in two walled vineyards that have yet to succumb to Phylloxera, the third Clos from which these prized berries came yielded to this onslaught in 2005. The vines trained in the traditional Champenois method, giving name to this celebrated Cuvée, garners an insight into Champagne’s rich history. A chance to savour tradition alongside vibrancy, intensity and perfect equilibrium. We are very proud to be able to offer this wine exclusively in the UK in 2014.
