Krug Edition 168 is a great symphony of flavours: the result of 198 different wines expertly blended by the team at Krug. They draw on 11 vintages ranging from two outstanding bookends in the vintages of 1996 and 2012. It is a beautiful pale gold with a lacy fine bead. The nose has power and intensity that captivates immediately. Its individual elements are so well integrated they are hard to pick apart, but there is no missing the depth of flavour and character that older wines bring to the blend, and the full, fleshy ripeness and dazzling freshness of the 2012.
