2023 Château La Mascaronne Rosé, Côtes de Provence

2023 Château La Mascaronne Rosé, Côtes de Provence

Château La Mascaronne in the picturesque village of Luc de Provence was snapped up in 2020 by Michel Reybier, owner of Château Cos d`Estournel, and he set the bar sky high with his debut vintage. Since then he has gone on to receive critic acclaim, including snapping up second place in Vinous.com's recent appraisal of all things rosé. This organic, dry, delicate, complex and delicious rosé is quite literally Provence in a glass. It is exquisitely balanced and refined, and perhaps the most understated and elegant rosé on our list.

Château La Mascaronne

La Mascaronne is a beautiful estate in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation, just above the medieval village of Le Luc. Tom Bove has run this impressive organically farmed estate since 1999. He was previously responsible for Château Miraval, a legendary name in Provence Rosé, before taking over full time at La Mascaronne in 2012. Yields are low compared to many of their neighbours, with everything hand harvested in small cases. Their rosé is of the highest quality: fresh and chiselled, the perfect summer wine.
