Richard Bray is an ex-sommelier, winemaker, author, and now wine merchant - a true all-rounder in the wine industry. He makes this delicious, small-batch white in the cellars of Mas Cristine in the Roussillon. Cathartic Wines is Richard's own project, and with a few vintages under-way, is picking up momentum. This year it’s a blend of Grenache Gris and Rousanne, and it’s packed full of stony mineral notes, wild woody herbs and clean, pure stone fruit. There’s weight and a slight oiliness from the Rousanne and a broad palate from time in old oak.
