It's the first year we've offered this cuvée, but it was so impressive, we couldn't say no. With 80-90% clay in the soil, this 2.5ha plot on the top of the hill has worked beautifully in 2015. There's juicy, sweet fruit with charming intensity, and juicy tannins that coat the mouth. Very long, it's another smart buy from Bruno.

Serge et Bruno Sourdais

Chinon, an appellation in the Loire Valley, is responsible for some of France’s most drinkable and refreshing red wines. Bruno Sourdais, the sixth generation winemaker at this eponymous domaine, is making delicious, delicate Cabernet Franc which offers exceptional value for money. The emphasis here is on traditional winemaking with a careful approach in the vineyard and the wines all spending a little time in oak. In spite of the humble price tag for his wine, Bruno is rightly considered one of the top producers in the appellation.
