This wine has an alluring nose of white cherries, green apples and lime zest undercut by a lovely, chalky mineral quality. On the palate, the fruit is austere but fresh with intriguing hints of liquorice and slate. This fabulous Sancerre is the cornerstone of the Cotat canon, whose careful barrel fermentation lends a creamy nuttiness which is quite simply outstanding. A unique wine with incredible ageing potential.
