One of their latest ripening sites, this is at the south of the Alsace region, 240-280m above sea level. There are dark volcanic rocks here and big chunky stones in the soil. This mineral influence gives the wine a steely character with lots of gun flint and smoke. There’s also plenty of aromatic fruit with fresh lemon, lime pith and green apple.
